    Examination & 3D imaging

    We check the gums, the neighbouring teeth and your bite, take a dental CT to assess the bone and a digital scan to plan the position.

    Plan & quote

    The dentist explains whether the bone is adequate, whether grafting is needed, how many stages are involved, and confirms the price including the crown before anything begins.

  3. 3

    Placing the implant

    Under local anaesthetic the implant is placed into the bone in the planned position. The bone then has to bond to it, which usually takes several months.

  4. 4

    The crown & follow-up

    The site is scanned and a crown made to match the shade and shape of your other teeth, then fitted and checked in your bite, with regular reviews and cleaning around the implant afterwards.

What counts as a dental prosthesis?
A dental prosthesis is an artificial device used to replace missing teeth, restoring function and aesthetics. Examples include dentures, crowns, bridges, and implants.
What happens if I just leave the gap?
At first you may not notice much. Over time the neighbouring teeth tend to tip towards the space, the opposing tooth over-erupts, and awkward pockets appear that are hard to clean, which invites decay and gum problems. The longer the gap is left, the more complicated replacing the tooth becomes.
Does placing an implant hurt?
The area is numb from local anaesthetic, and most people describe pressure rather than pain. Once it wears off there is usually soreness and some swelling for a few days, managed with the prescribed medicine and a cold pack.
How long does the whole thing take?
From placement to the crown it usually takes several months, because the bone has to bond properly to the implant first. The exact timeline depends on your bone and the site; the dentist will estimate it after reviewing your CT.
What if there is not enough bone?
The dental CT answers that clearly. Some cases need bone grafting before or alongside placement, and the dentist will explain the steps and the cost once they have seen the images. In some cases another option suits better, and they will say so.
How long does an implant last?
We do not promise a number of years. It depends on the health of the gum around the implant, your daily cleaning, smoking, grinding and whether you come for reviews. Looked after well and checked regularly, an implant is a long-term restoration.
I am not ready yet — is there something in the meantime?
Yes. A removable partial denture can fill the space while you decide — from 4,500 THB with an acrylic base, or from 10,000 THB with a metal base. Message us on LINE and we can talk through which suits your gap.
