About removable dentures
A removable denture is the quickest and most affordable way to replace several missing teeth or a whole arch. A partial denture rests on the remaining teeth with clasps and comes with an acrylic base, which is economical and easy to adjust, or a metal frame, which is thinner, firmer and lasts longer. A full denture is used when no teeth remain in that arch. The Tooth Boutique dental team takes detailed impressions, tries the denture in, adjusts the bite and edges until nothing rubs, and reviews it after you have worn it. Dentures need ongoing care: gums and bone change shape over time, so a denture may need relining or remaking once it loosens.

How long does it take?
Usually three to five visits about a week apart; if teeth are extracted first, we wait one to two months for healing before the final impressions.
Denture or implant?
An implant is firmest and closest to a natural tooth but needs surgery and costs more; a denture is quick, affordable and surgery-free. The dentist helps you weigh it up.
How do I look after it?
Rinse after meals and before bed, soak overnight in water or a denture solution, do not sleep in it, and come once a year for a check.
