About root canal treatment
Root canal treatment saves a tooth with infected or inflamed pulp by removing the damaged tissue, cleaning the canals, and sealing them with biocompatible material. It allows you to keep your natural tooth instead of extracting it. A post & core and crown are usually recommended afterwards for long-term strength. Treatment typically takes 1–3 visits.

Is root canal treatment painful?
The local anaesthetic means you should not feel pain during the procedure. If you do, raise your hand and we stop. It also relieves the pain caused by pulp inflammation.
Why do I need a crown afterwards?
Root-canal-treated teeth are brittle and prone to fracture — a crown protects and extends the tooth's life.
